Areca Palm, also known as the Neanthe bella palm or parlor palm, is a small, tropical palm tree. It is a popular indoor plant, known for its ability to tolerate low light conditions and its ability to purify the air. The parlor palm has delicate, graceful fronds and grows slowly, reaching a height of 3-6 feet when grown indoors.

Areca Palm is a low-maintenance plant with attractive foliage. It requires bright indirect sunlight to thrive. It should be watered once every 2 weeks in summer and once every 3 weeks in winter. Repotting Chamaedorea elegans palms is often advised every two to three years, or if the plant starts to seem pot-bound.

Overwatering is one of the most common concerns with Areca palms, which can lead to the rot of the roots. Avoid allowing the plant sit in standing water and be sure to let the soil gradually dry out between waterings.
